LERU provides individual and group counseling to students in grades K-12. Our mental health counseling team provides students with an outlet to share issues that may negatively impact their attendance, behavior, and/or academic success.
Individual counseling sessions provide an opportunity for students to develop caring relationships with responsible adults, which helps build self-esteem and self-confidence. Students will discuss and formulate goals while learning problem-solving strategies that will enable them to overcome personal challenges.
When a crisis arises, our counselors use an array of short-term interventions and practices to help students overcome the crisis. Additionally, our counselors provide wrap around services to parents who require additional support to enhance and reinforce a positive family dynamic within the home.
LERU’s counselors adhere to the NASW code of ethics and are aligned with the prevailing Right to Privacy laws and that balance student confidentiality with a parent’s right to information.
