LERU engages the private and social sectors to create pathways to success for young people of color. Our local and national efforts are designed to create opportunities and pathways to college and careers while also reducing the unemployment, incarceration, and recidivism rate.
MBK/MSK
We provide a comprehensive menu of curriculums, planners and other tools to assist your school in launching and managing MBK and MSK programs.
Our Focus
- To change the trajectory of people of color graduating from establishments ready for college and life long careers
- Increase the number of males & females completing post-secondary education or training
- Increase the number of males & females entering the workforce with viable career options
- Reduce violence and provide a second chance to men re –entering their communities through community outreach networks
- Develop partnerships with local & national organizations, non-profits, private businesses, local community leaders and philanthropic organizations.
- Create a Schools to college & career pipeline
- Provide a GED Preparatory Program for students who are beyond one year of graduation
